Optical Line Terminal

An Optical Line Terminal (OLT) is the central device in a fiber optic network, typically used in Passive Optical Networks (PON). It manages and controls data traffic between the service provider and multiple end-users. The OLT converts electrical signals to optical signals and distributes them to Optical Network Units (ONUs) or ONTs. It also handles tasks like bandwidth allocation, traffic scheduling, and network monitoring.
